Core Eligibility

  1. Show personal or spouse/common-law-partner net worth of at least CAD 300,000.
  2. Within the previous ten years, have at least three years as an active owner-manager or four years as a senior manager.
  3. Complete at least Canadian high-school-equivalent education and reach CLB 4 in each language skill.
  4. Invest at least CAD 100,000 from qualifying personal equity and meet the applicable ownership condition.
  5. For a new business, create at least one qualifying full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for at least six months, excluding relatives.
  6. Complete the required rural-community engagement or exploratory process.
