The business and the person are assessed together.

An entrepreneur-led plan and an employer-led plan answer different questions. The intended activity, applicant's contribution, company stage, ownership and day-to-day responsibilities should be mapped before choosing a pass.

EntrePass is built around an eligible venture.

Singapore's Ministry of Manpower describes EntrePass as a route for eligible foreign entrepreneurs who want to start and operate a venture-backed or innovative-technology business. The business profile and the applicant’s track record should therefore present one coherent case.

An Employment Pass assessment focuses on the employer and the role.

The Employment Pass framework examines the employing entity, job, salary and candidate. The points-based Complementarity Assessment Framework may also apply. A title alone is not enough; duties, experience, remuneration and the operating company should align.

Do not treat incorporation as immigration approval.
A Singapore company and a Singapore work pass are separate decisions with separate evidence and timing.

Build the family and renewal plan early.

Dependant eligibility, schooling, housing and later renewals can affect the practical route. Include these dependencies in the same calendar as company setup, hiring and arrival.
